Enriched English as a Second Language
Parents and Guardians,
This program will give your child the opportunity to learn the following:
Grade 1
• to engage in a conversation using simple sentences
• to learn thematic songs and sing them as an oral exercise
• to write over 280 words vocabulary
• to enrich their vocabulary with over 450 different words
• to employ phonetic and sight reading techniques, 10books will be read
Grade 2
• to converse in the English language
• to recite monthly poems as oral exercises
• to correctly employ grammar rules for: nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, plural nouns, pronouns, subject-verb agreement, articles, and prepositions
• to write numbers 1-15 alpha-numerically
• to read a chapter book
The aforementioned are presented within a three hour per week schedule.
